Minnesota Institute of Public Health

The Minnesota Institute of Public Health (MIPH) Board of Directors has provided governance and oversight of the business, mission and activity of MIPH since October 1998. Working with MIPH management, the Board meets regularly to assist MIPH in achieving its potential to safeguard and protect the health and safety of individuals and communities. Current Board members include (in alphabetical order by last name):

Kathy Dunmire is the Vice President of Commercial Market Ops at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Minnesota.

Ed Ehlinger, M.D. is the Director and Chief Health Officer of Boynton Health Service at the University of Minnesota. 

John Laux (Chair) was with the Minneapolis Police Department for 27 years, the last six serving as Chief of Police.  His current position is Chief of Police for the City of Bloomington, Minnesota. 

Vanessa McKendall Stephens is the President of Face Value Evaluation Consulting, Inc., located in Minneapolis.

Michael McKuras is the Vice President of Technology Infrastructure Services at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Minnesota.

Diane Pozdolski is the Director of Compensation and Benefits & HRIS at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Minnesota.

Nancy Reed is the Director of Integrated Health Management at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Minnesota. 

Mike Schiks is the Executive Director/CEO of Project Turnabout Addiction Center in Granite Falls, Minnesota

Marsha Shotley (Vice-Chair) is the Vice President of Board and Community Relations at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Minnesota.

Dan Williams is President and CEO of Masters, Williams and Associates software corporation.
