Creating Meaningful Youth Service
Creating Meaningful Youth Service--August 12 at 1:00 PM ET
How do we engage youth and keep them interested in our programs? One key component is establishing meaningful opportunities for youth within our organizations. This webinar will offer you tools in assessing your organizations level of youth engagement and the benefits of providing young people with roles and responsibilities within your organization. Meaningful service contributes to the developmental assets youth need to become healthy adults and can revitalize and empower organizations.
This webinar is part of The National Youth Advocacy Coalition’s interactive Youth Impact Webinar Series.
The "Youth Impact" series builds upon themes established in NYAC’s
"Youth and HIV" webinar series, which was held earlier this year and is
now available online. The new series deals with additional topics and
offers more depth on how to enhance the impact of youth within LGBT
organizations. All of NYAC’s free webinars run 90 minutes and
community-based organizations are encouraged to participate.
This series is sponsored in part by Cooperative Agreement number
U65/CCU323705 from the Division of HIV/AIDS, Capacity Building Branch,
U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
Each web seminar will include:
* Handouts/resources
* On-line chat capability
* Question and Answer opportunity
* Additional capacity building assistance and follow-up
