Partnering with Athletics for Substance Abuse Prevention

The Minnesota-North Dakota-South Dakota region of The Network Addressing Collegiate Alcohol and Other Drug Issues is sponsoring this FREE webinar.

Have you struggled to reach student-athletes on your campus?  Are you wondering what kinds of prevention messages will grab their attention and possibility change their attitudes or even behaviors?  This webinar will address norms of student-athlete alcohol use, provide an overview of the APPLE Model© (a comprehensive substance abuse prevention model for athletics departments) and examine best practices for student-athlete substance abuse prevention programming.  You’ll have a better understanding of the athletics culture, know how alcohol can impact athletic performance, be able to identify potential partners within your athletics department and learn about national resources.
