Workshop: Gambling and the Clergy's Role

The Gambling Problems Resource Center together with Lutheran Social Services of Minnesota, the Joint Committee on Addictions of St. Paul and Minneapolis Area Synods of the ELCA, and the Catholic/Lutheran Rural Life Commission is conducting a series of workshops on Gambling Problems: Role of the Clergy. The workshops are designed to help clergy understand the magnitude and severity of gambling problems among adults and adolescents in Minnesota; identify characteristics of problem/compulsive gambling; identify guidelines for low-risk gambling; and identify resources in Minnesota that are available for people in Minnesota with gambling problems.

Cost is $15 which includes lunch, coffee, and workshop materials. The workshop goes from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. The final workshop will be held in St. Cloud on November 7.

Thief River Falls on October 8, 1996.
Redwood Falls on October 10, 1996.
Pelican Rapids on October 18, 1996.
Rochester on October 24, 1996.
St. Cloud on November 7, 1996.
