The Second Annual Midwest Gambling Conference will take place at the Holiday Inn in St. Cloud on May 6-9, 1997. CEUs have been applied for. The 10th International Conference on Gambling and Risk Taking will take place in Montreal, Quebec, Canada at the Queen Elizabeth Hotel from May 31 - June 4, 1997. For more information contact Judy Cornelius at 1-702-784-1442.

The North American Conference on Youth Gambling will be held on May 8 and 9, 1997, at the World Trade Center in St. Paul. Keynote speaker on May 8 is Dr. Howard Shaffer, Director of Harvard Medical School's Division on Addictions. CEUs and CMEs have been applied for. The Vanguard Compulsive Gambling Treatment Program in Granite Falls will be hosting two upcoming events: The first is the Vanguard Alumni Picnic on July 19, 1997, and the Vanguard Conference on Compulsive Gambling on August 15 and 16, 1997. The Minnesota Council on Compulsive Gambling will be conducting Counseling the Compulsive Gambler Phase I and II trainings in St. Paul. For dates and further information contact the Council at 1-800-541-4557.
