| All Bets Are Off: An Adolescent
Compulsive Gambling Prevention and Training Program |
This interactive train-the-trainer program, a 4-hour course held in
three locations throughout Minnesota, will: 1) examine the extent of underage
gambling; 2) describe what adolescents know and need to know about gambling
and probabilities; and 3) demonstrate an interactive prevention strategy
targeting middle school age youth which includes:
- focusing on the realities of gambling and the elevated risk for youth
- improving critical thinking
- demonstrating mathematical odds of winning/losing; and
- identifying problem gambling behaviors
