Enforcing Underage Drinking Laws

Enforcing Underage Drinking Laws
Is your community interested in addressing underage drinking and adult providers? Let the Minnesota Institute of Public Health assist you to reach your goals. MIPH provides funding opportunities and technical assistance to communities that are interested in implementing the Zero Adult Provider (ZAP) project, compliance checks, and methods of alternate enforcement. These projects use best practices to prevent underage drinking.

ZAP

Zero Adult Provider

The Zero Adult Provider Project is an environmental strategy that includes a criminal justice and judicial response to prevent underage drinking and adult providers. MIPH provides funding and technical assistance to Minnesota coalitions that are interested in implementing the ZAP project model in their community.

Compliance Checks and Alternate Enforcement

The EUDL project also supports local law enforcement efforts to reducing underage access to alcohol through conducting compliance checks and alternate enforcement activities. Through mini-grants and partnership with Minnesota law enforcement agencies, MIPH works to keep alcohol out of the hands of youth.
