Parents who are “in the know” about alcohol, tobacco and other drugs have taken one important step toward helping their children make healthy decisions. This booklet suggests how parents can help prevent problems, and provides basic information on the effects and health risks of commonly used drugs. General guidelines for determining if there is a problem and ideas on how to respond are offered. (8pp)
