Keeping Oneself Healthy
It is well known that regular physical activity and proper nutrition reduce rates of disease and death from chronic diseases. Throughout the United States there is an increased need for prevention programs geared toward increasing physical activity and healthy eating among many of the country’s populations.
Research tells us that these two factors contribute to a number of health outcomes including, but not limited to, heart health, stroke, cancer, high blood pressure, diabetes and obesity. Eating healthy meals and participating in regular physical activity also contribute to improved self-esteem and problems related to individual mental health.
MIPH has been a partner with local and state agencies in developing, researching and evaluating programs designed to increase physical activity and improve nutrition. Our goal is to provide useful information to clients in a manner that best suits their project’s needs. We welcome new opportunities to work with physical activity and nutrition programs.
